Holly-Hunter
Holly Hunter is an American actor and producer who is well-known for her highly laudable performance in films like Broadcast News The Firm The Piano and The Incredibles. The film Piano was awarded an Oscar. Her career began acting as an actress both on Broadway and Off Broadway. From her early years she's always been enthusiastic about acting. She played Helen Keller as a fifth-grade student in a school production. The mumps that she contracted left her blind and deaf in one ear, but she did not allow this to hinder her ambitions of becoming an actor. As a young woman she was a drama student in the college level and then moved from Pittsburgh to New York City from Pittsburgh in order to follow her dreams. In a chance encounter she became stuck in an elevator alongside the playwright Beth Henley and the two worked together on the Broadway Crimes of the Heart and made Hunter's debut. When she moved to Los Angeles she tried to obtain film roles and was offered a supporting role in Swing Shift. Since then she has appeared in numerous films and shows and TV films over a career spanning more than 30 years. Holly Hunter received a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame and she also received the Women in Film Lucy Award.
